Asiya Khan, an internationally trained lawyer, has represented private entities as well as individuals with professional legal services in Real Estate, Family Law and Business Law. Servicing clients in the Greater Toronto Area, she is qualified and passionate about representing her client’s interest in a broad range of matters.
Awards, Recognitions and Accomplishments:
- Awarded with the prestigious Commonwealth Scholarship to study for the degree of Master of Laws (LL.M), at the University of Cambridge, UK
- Headed the Department Of Law during her nine years of teaching career at International Islamic University, Pakistan.
- Recipient of Women Development Scholarship from the Ministry of Women Development, Pakistan.
- She secured first class in Bachelor of Laws (LL.B)
- Recipient of the Merit Scholarship throughout the LL.B program
- Recipient of JRW Alexander Scholarship while studying for LL.M
- Received admittance into to the status of Fellow of the Cambridge Commonwealth Society
- Keynote speaker on topics including, family law, the rights of the aging population, importance of having a Power of Attorney,
- Strong believer in volunteering (actively involved in various shelter homes in the regions of Peel and Halton providing advise at the legal clinics and holding sessions to educate the women about their rights), as well as voluntarily coach for Bar exam candidates
- Can converse fully in English, Urdu, Hindi, and Punjabi
